Dreams For Tomorrow: A Home Of Their Own

Situation: Zambia is one of the many African countries that have been devastated by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Currently there are more than 600,000 AIDS orphans in Zambia. In addition, one out of every five children is moderately to severely malnourished. Meeting the Need: The Chikondi Children’s Village is one way Kids Alive is meeting the needs of these precious children. Until a few months ago, rental facilities were being used to care for the children. In March 2014, the first permanent home was completed and the boys moved in to a home of their own. Vision for the future: A second home will be added to accomodate the firls in our ministry. It will provide personal space for each girl and house parents. How you can be involved: The construction cost for one home is $63,000 which will provide a loving home for these desperate children with a total of 3 homes needed.
